As you can probably guess. I am a massive advocate of blogging! My blog has always been an effective way for me to share and discuss my thoughts and to keep my customers and contacts updated on what is happening in the ever evolving worlds of digital marketing and CRM.
I have recently been doing some research for a blogging course that I am writing and I came across a couple of useful pieces of research, that help to justify why blogging is so important. I have always been an advocate of blogging as a thought leadership and engagement tool. These stats show the impact on sales and purchasing decisions too.
The first article is a Technorati research project that has been written about by Jeff Bullas on his excellent blog. The article is called 10 insights on social media and blogging influence. There are plenty of useful stats and insights and it is well worth a read. Here is one chart that shows the importance of blogging:
In addition, I also found this Hubspot article, which shows why blogging often is important:
I guess that is telling me that I should post more often. However, I always say on my training courses, that you should only post when you have something useful or interesting to say and don't just post for the sake of doing so. So, in conclusion post as often as you can, as long as you have something to say!
Stats are pretty much good to notice why you need to blog..
From blogging you can build credibility, build engagement, build your personality as an expert in the industry, get more business.
Posting meaningful and handy often is really worth on a blogging platform.

Of course,Once you start realizing what exactly it is you’re going to offer to people through your blog, you’ll start to prioritize your day differently. You’ll have comments to respond to, emails to answer, and social media promoting to do, but all of this is building a pipeline of targeted warm leads to your business.
